Javier Alía to perform in Madrid

Javier Alía’s new tour will kick off on Thursday, March 22 at 10 p.m. with a free show at Sala Honky Tonk in Madrid.

The musician is still working in new songs and will be releasing a new EP soon. But in the meantime, he is still hitting the stage. Next Thursday he and his band – Los Cómplices del Directo – will be performing songs from his two albums – Lo Intentaré (2010) and La Rueda Que Gira (2013).

Recorded in Argentina, both LPs include tracks inspired in real events as well as some made up stories. Although the content in the first record is more intimate, the second drifted towards a sound which is closer to rock as If the songs themselves were asking for a new direction.

If you want to enjoy them live, you will be able to do so at Sala Honky Tonk (Covarrubias, 24) on March 22.
