Noreste: 'Extraordinario'

Today we present Noreste, a Madrid-based pop-rock band that consists of the voice and guitar of Ernesto Goni, the drums of John F. Nogueras, Irene Buceta's keyboard, the bass of Manuel Cabezali and the guitar of Julio Gomez. Together they bring this nice EP called Extraordinario.

The album has been produced, mixed and masterized by Manuel Cabezali, recorded on El Lado Izquierdo studios by Dany Richter. After touring to become known in the Spanish scene, playing festivals such as Monkey Week, Primavera Sound or Zincshower, and being openers for bands like Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Noreste releases these five intense and energetic songs,

  1. Extraordinario An hypnotic rhythm opens the song and expands through it, like a snake charmer in a Playstation version. It's easy to figure out a little robot trying to climb a mountain slowly, while the poetry of his lyrics is drawn above. Near the end, the eclectic rhythms finish to move to the guitars and choruses, which gave it a final apotheosis, before returning to the beginning.
  2. SOS It has some of the above, but with a melancholic tone. The guitars also overlook most often between verses. The chorus is very full, saturated of vocals, rhythm and drums, coming to convey a sense of real SOS, before shutting down in much more peaceful rhythms. The formula is repeated throughout the track.
  3. Constantemente In a quieter tone, it is dedicated to unexpected festive twists, contrasting with other almost dark and moody. The song is one surprise after another, which when you think you've already decided how the song goes, turns again to leave us stunned 'constantly'.
  4. Lo que quiere ser Soft melodies appear in this song where vocals do their best role. It is one of the most catchy tunes, making a bittersweet dance to pop, with more rock flashes in some of the music pauses, and especially at the end.
